Are you looking to resolve a conflict in an informed manner while prioritizing the interests of all parties involved?
Were you aware that all parties play an active rôle in decision making when it comes to family mediation? An impartial and neutral mediator can help you to evaluate the strength of your respective positions without having to battle before the courts.
Mediation can touch on issues such as access rights, financial responsibilities, the division of property and the family patrimony, as well as spousal and child support. It can also allow parties to thoughtfully consider – and take a position on – the above issues, even on a review of judgement.
Only lawyers, notaries, counsellors, psychologists, and social workers can act as mediators. The goal of mediation is not to win or loose, but to evaluate the strength of each parent's respective position in the interest – and for the protection – of each member of the famly.
The Ministère de la Justice can cover the fees of accredited family mediators in certain situations. Click here to see if you are eligible.
